Richmond Craigmillar Church/Richmond’s Hope Christmas Eve service. We’ve reluctantly decided to cancel the service this year. We know that will cause disappointment but we want to keep everyone safe. Instead we’re going to make a video which will be on our Facebook pages/websites. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

We’re looking for the names of the people you want to remember and, if you can write a couple of sentences to encourage each other at this time of year, that would be amazing. (names here or by email to richmondcraimillarchurch@gmail.com) The theme of the service is HOLD ONTO HOPE. What would be great would be if some of you could write on this page a sentence saying who died and what you do to remember them or in their memory.

Some people say that grief is like a huge ball of pain which you’re suddenly handed and have to carry. It’s unwanted, unbelievably painful and you would give anything not to have to carry it. Grieving is finding a way of living with that huge ball of pain and gradually finding a way of carrying it. We can help each other with that! Faith helps, love helps and holding onto hope is essential.

There won’t be a collection (cause we won’t be there!). but why not make a donation online to Richmond’s Hope’s “Say the Words” appeal and make a difference to the lives of bereaved children, young people and their families https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/saythewordsappeal
